Power Draw Monthly Prize Draw Terms & Conditions

Effective 1 July 2025

1. Eligibility The Power Draw Monthly Prize Draw ("Prize Draw") is open to all active customers of Pulse Energy, Grey Power Electricity, Just Energy and Pioneer Energy Retail who meet the eligibility criteria outlined below.

2. Prize Draw Entry Criteria To qualify for an entry into the Prize Draw, a customer must have an active account with Pulse Energy, Grey Power Electricity, Just Energy or Pioneer Energy Retail. Active customers will receive one entry per active account each month. Customers are eligible for additional entries based on the below:

  • Years as a Customer: One entry for each year the customer has been with us. For example, if a customer has been with Just Energy for three years, the customer will receive three entries into the Prize Draw.
  • My Account Registration: One entry per active account that is registered for My Account.
  • Online Billing Registration: One entry per active account that is registered for Online Billing.

3. Prize Draw Details

  • The Prize Draw will operate on a monthly basis, with each month representing a separate prize draw. For example, entries for one month, such as for April's Power Draw, will not carry over to the following month, May's Power Draw. Each month will be treated as a new and distinct competition.
  • The Prize Draw will take place on the 1st of each month. The exact time and date of the Prize Draw may be subject to change.
  • Winners will be drawn at random from all eligible entries received within the month.
  • Winners will be notified on their bill the following month and will be contacted by email or SMS. 

4. Prize Credit and Application

Prize Credit Each month eligible customers will go in the Prize Draw to win one of the following electricity credits from the monthly prize pool. The credits include GST.

Monthly Prize Pool

40 x $100 electricity credits

30 x $150 electricity credits

20 x $200 electricity credits

3 x $500 electricity credits

1 x $1,000 electricity credit

 

Prize Application

  • Each customer is eligible to win only one prize per draw per month.
  • The prize for the monthly draw will be drawn at random and credited to the winners’ electricity accounts.
  • The prize details, including the value, will be communicated to the winner(s) on their bill the following month.
  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives.
  • If a winner moves house, the credit can be transferred to the customers new address if they sign up their home to Pulse Energy, Grey Power Electricity, Just Energy or Pioneer Energy Retail.
  • If a winner cancels or finalises their account before the prize credit is applied, the value of the credit will not be applied to their final bill.

5. Exclusions of the Prize Draw

  • Business customers are not eligible for the Prize Draw.
  • Customers who have cancelled or finalised their electricity account are not eligible for the Prize Draw.

6. Cancellation or Modification of the Prize Draw Pulse Energy Alliance LP reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Prize Draw at any time, without prior notice. Pulse Energy Alliance LP also reserves the right to amend or update these terms and conditions and Power Draws eligibility criteria at any time, without notice to customers.

7. Disqualification Pulse Energy Alliance LP reserves the right to disqualify any customer found to be violating the terms and conditions of the Prize Draw, engaging in fraudulent behaviour, or tampering with the entry process.

8. General Terms

  • By participating in the Power Draw Monthly Prize Draw, customers agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  • Pulse Energy Alliance LP reserves the right to modify or cancel the Prize Draw at any time.
  • The decision of Pulse Energy Alliance LP regarding the Prize Draw winner(s) is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • Pulse Energy Alliance LP is not responsible for any issues or errors relating to the entry process, including but not limited to technical issues or any problems with customer eligibility.

9. Data Protection Pulse Energy Alliance LP will handle all customer data in accordance with our privacy policy. Winners’ names may be used for publicity purposes.

10. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and any disputes arising from participation in the Prize Draw will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

Pulse Energy, Grey Power Electricity, Just Energy and Pioneer Energy Retail are trading names of Pulse Energy Alliance LP.
